HOMESTAY

QIBA specialises in providing a wonderful HOMESTAY EXPERIENCE for international students. All families are carefully selected and their homes are inspected by the Academy's Homestay Co-ordinator.

Homestay families often meet at QIBA to discuss ways to better understand the special needs of overseas students.

Living with an Australian family provides a safe and secure environment plus a daily English learning experience. The families are located close to QIBA with no home more than 30 minutes away. Some students walk or ride a bike while others come by bus or car.

AS A HOMESTAY STUDENT you enjoy being included as part of the family. Two meals weekdays and three meals on weekends plus small snacks are provided. Washing and ironing are usually a joint responsibility between the student and the homestay parents. Remember, you should learn to become more independent during your time in Australia.
